2021 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Louisville): $7,500 to create and stage a play addressing the toxic relationship themes of the Selkie-Wife folktale, a story portraying a female selkie (a seal who becomes human once her skin is shed) trapped in marriage with a man who steals her skin. The play will empower women and teen girls to stand up against abuse in personal relationships through creative expression and healing in the safe space of the theatre.
