2026 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Danville) $5,500 to support Her Story Studio, a feminist workshop series led by artist Licia Priest in conjunction with her upcoming I Am We exhibit at the Art Center. In this creative wellness and narrative arts program, women will engage in self-reflection and artistic expression, learning to document their personal experiences through visual art. Pieces will be accompanied by audio and/or written narratives, adding an element of social preservation. Following the workshop, participants’ art will be on display at the Art Center, with the display incorporating an interactive element that invites viewers to reflect on the pieces and themes presented.

2025 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Danville) $4,250 for a teaching residency with twelve young women from Danville who will create artwork that reflects their identities, sense of place, and/or social issues that are meaningful to them. Artist Lacy Hale will teach the students a new art form that will culminate in public display of their artwork. Through this process, students will be empowered to celebrate their role as change-makers in their community.
2022 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Danville) $3,660 for a teaching residency with Lacy Hale and twelve young women from Danville. The students will create and display artwork that reflects their identities, sense of place, and/or social issues that are meaningful to them. Through the creation and display of their work, students will be empowered to celebrate their role as change-makers in their community.
