The Art Meets Activism (AMA) grant supports artists and organizations to lead community members in participatory artmaking that directly advances positive social change. AMA applications are typically due at the end of February each year.
The Artist Enrichment (AE) grant provides opportunities for feminist artists and arts organizations to further their artistic development to create art for positive social change. AE applications are typically due at the end of August each year.
Artist Career Development (ACD) Mini-Grants are quick turn-around funds providing up to $500 to support activities that further a KFW artist’s career, broaden the audience or impact of their work, and strengthen artist networks.
Sponsorships up to $1000 are for individuals or organizations whose event engages participants in creativity, culture, and the arts; has a feminist focus; addresses inequality for women and girls. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Residencies at Loretto provide individual Kentucky artists with 1-3 week Artist Residencies through a KFW partnership with the Loretto Community in Nerinx, KY. Applications are due twice a year, typically in April and November.
Who may apply for KFW grants and funding opportunities?
– Individual artists and organizations who are engaging in arts-based activities may apply. Applicants must be residents of Kentucky.
– KFW is committed to making grants accessible to all, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, education level, economic condition, or geographic origin.
