2023 Art Meets Activism | (Shelbyville) $6,000 to create an exhibit and interactive installation with portraits and oral histories of Aflorar Herb Collective (AHC) members and community elders using plants they grow, medicine they make, ancestral healing and self-care practices. Narratives, mixed media and photographs will become part of a bilingual presentation of art, people and herbs. The medicine-making recipes and healing modalities at the core of our collective will be shared virtually.
