2024 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Rush) $9,000 to support the production of the Wildflower Festival, a free, annual, high-quality musical event that creates an inclusive space for artists and art enthusiasts to share and enjoy artwork. The festival will give creatives, especially women and those who identify as women, opportunities to share their work and raise their voices to create social change.

Previous Grants

2021 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Rush) $1,000 to develop a curriculum called Creative Vibez for her classroom that centers on culture, the arts, and creativity and enhances students’ socio-emotional and literacy skills. Participating students are juvenile and public status offenders from across Kentucky who need a safe, local space to share their work with the community.

2020 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Rush) $1,200 to assist in the implementation of Acoustic Youth, a musical therapy program for youth who have experienced trauma. Students at Ramey Estep High School, an institution for juvenile public and status offenders in eastern Kentucky, will learn to express themselves musically in addition to any traditional therapy they receive.
