2026 Art Meets Activism Grant | (Louisville) $3,080 to invite fiber artists throughout the Commonwealth to share their families’ immigrant experiences by creating their own 12″ quilt square and describing how that square tells their story. The squares and oral histories will be made into a quilt, with the intent that the quilt, with the stories, will travel to host institutions, libraries, community centers, schools, etc. to put a human and more humane face on the immigrant experience. This “Immigrant Experience” quilt and a large portrait “Neighbors” quilt that depicts contemporary immigrants will be a springboard for guided community conversations.
