2026 Art Meets Activism | (Newport) $8,000 for the Kyndred Clay Apprenticeship, a pilot program which plans to convert compulsory labor for people with disabilities into a restorative, accessible, and culturally rich ceramics practice. The program hopes to generate documented work credits, earned income, and peer support for adults at risk of losing healthcare coverage. Rooted in the theory of intersectional access intimacy developed by Mia Mingus, the program will expand the local arts ecosystem and build a community of care through collaborative and self-directed craftwork, entrepreneurship training, and advocacy.

2023 Art Meets Activism | (Southgate) $3,000 to pilot KiNDred Kentucky, a creative community building initiative led by and for neurodivergent (ND) artists in Kentucky. In response to complex, systemic barriers which isolate and disable many ND artists, KiNDred Kentucky will offer artmaking and organizing opportunities for ND Kentucky artists to connect and share resources.
The Kyndred Collective was previously granted a 2024 Radical, Timely, Urgent Grant. Click here to read more about the project.
